Price list

Prices, stock and store ids

Upload one CSV and prices and stock show in every catalog at once, without republishing. The same file carries dealer prices and the ids that connect parts to your online store.

Upload the price list under Price list in the console. It applies to every catalog straight away, without republishing, and replaces the previous list each time.

Columns#

Columns are found by their headings, in any order. Only the part number and one other column are needed.

Kits are priced here too, under the kit’s own part number; see Kits.

Download template gives you a CSV with every part number in your live catalogs, ready to fill in. Export from your ERP or spreadsheet in the same shape and upload it whenever prices change.

Keep it up to date#

On the Catalog and Integrated plans, the price list can update itself instead of being uploaded by hand. Set it up under Price list → Keep it up to date automatically. Both ways below read the same columns as an upload, and each update replaces the whole list.

From a spreadsheet or file online#

  1. Keep the price list in a Google Sheet, or have your ERP save a CSV somewhere with a web address (a web server, Dropbox, OneDrive).
  2. For a Google Sheet, choose Share → General access → Anyone with the link → Viewer, and copy the sheet’s address. The tab you’re on when you copy it is the one that’s read.
  3. Paste the address, choose every hour or every day, and save. It’s fetched straight away, and the console shows when it last worked, how many parts it read, and any rows it skipped.

If a fetch fails (the sheet stopped being shared, the server was down), the last good list stays in use and the console says what went wrong.

From your own systems (API)#

Choose Create API key and copy the key: it’s shown once. Then send the price list from your ERP, a script, Zapier or Make:

curl -X PUT https://assemblyatlas.com/v1/pricing \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer aa_sync_…" \
  -H "Content-Type: text/csv" \
  --data-binary @price-list.csv

Or JSON rows, with the same column names:

curl -X PUT https://assemblyatlas.com/v1/pricing \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer aa_sync_…" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '[{"Part number": "AS1-1001", "Price": 24.50, "Stock": 12},
       {"Part number": "AS1-1002", "Price": 48.00, "Stock": "Ships in 2 weeks"}]'

The answer says how many parts were read and lists any rows that were skipped:

{ "ok": true, "rows": 2, "problems": [], "columns": { "pn": "Part number", "price": "Price", "stock": "Stock" } }

The key can only replace the price list. Keep it private like a password; if it leaks, choose Replace key or Revoke and the old one stops working at once.

How stock shows#

Where prices come from#

  1. For a signed-in dealer: the Dealer price column, or else the price less their discount. See Dealers.
  2. The Price column of the price list.
  3. The unit price in the catalog itself (from the editor or BOM).
  4. No price: the part can still be requested; it shows without a price.

Part names in other languages#

If your catalogs offer other languages, add columns named Name (es) and Description (es) (or fr, de) with each part’s name and description in that language. Kits take them too, on the kit’s part number. Download template includes these columns for the languages you offer.
